Just released “From Brush to Bowl” illustrates the transition of a 70.5lb manzanita burl blank into a truly individual bowl. The size and mass of this spinning chunk of scrub tree root brought out the challenge in turning. The mastery of manzanita madness may take years, but we’re determined to get there. Every turning brings on a new shape, a new balance of colors, and a unique appearance.
